Verification policy

1. Purpose of verification

Verification serves fraud prevention, compliance with payment-service-provider, tax and platform obligations, proof toward renters and secure payouts to landlords.

It is also the basis for whether a vehicle may be made publicly visible and bookable.

2. Mandatory landlord documents

  • Name, address, date of birth or company data
  • Email address and telephone number
  • Bank account or Stripe Connect account for payouts
  • Proof of identity according to the requirements of Stripe Connect / KYC
  • for commercial landlords additionally: tax number or VAT ID, register details, authorized representative, correct entrepreneur identification

3. Mandatory vehicle documents

  • Registration certificate part I or equivalent proof
  • Proof of existing motor-vehicle liability insurance and – where required – suitability for rental
  • for leased, financed or third-party vehicles: rental approval from the owner, lessor or other entitled person
  • current roadworthiness inspection proof, where relevant
  • Photos of the vehicle and its essential equipment

5. Status levels

Status Meaning
Not verified Listing creation may be possible; payouts may be withheld; restricted visibility, restricted bookability or additional reviews may be possible
Basic-verified Identity and payout account confirmed
Fully verified Identity, payout, vehicle documents and insurance proof reviewed
Suspended / blocked Bookings and / or payouts blocked until defects are remedied

6. Consequences of missing cooperation or expired documents

  • Without complete and current verification, listings may be deferred, deactivated or bookings blocked.
  • Payouts may be retained or suspended until the required payment-service-provider and platform review has been completed and no other risk reasons oppose payout.
  • In the case of expired or contradictory documents, the platform may initiate re-checks, follow-up requests or suspensions.
  • False information or failure to provide information may lead to permanent account suspension.

7. Regular re-checks

The platform may conduct re-checks in particular in the event of document expiry, account changes, accumulation of damages, chargebacks, compliance notices, complaints or other negative signals.

Landlords are obliged to update requested documents within the deadline.
